Video projects

I began my career in journalism as a photojournalist and my interest in photography and video has evolved in recent years, including to animated videos. I’ve included some of my recent projects below. Check out my YouTube channel for other work.

I recently worked on a series of videos at the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge documenting the work of scientists from UNM who are studying climate change at one of the biggest NSF projects in New Mexico. This video explores the work of UNM scientists looking at indicators including body mass changes in small mammals as part of a large project to study climate change in New Mexico.
I spent a day in the Valles Caldera National Preserve in northern New Mexico creating this video on the work of UNM geoscientist Laura Crossey. She and her team collect water quality data from streams and examine the long term sustainability of New Mexico’s water supply.
I created this video on the NASA Swarmathon collegiate robotics competition at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida as part of my work with an NSF program that promotes women and minority STEM faculty.

For this video, I traveled to a remote part of New Mexico to capture the work of Hannah Mattson, an associate professor of anthropology at the University of New Mexico. Mattson leads students in the excavation of an ancient pueblo site as part of the Archeology Summer School program.

I edited this welcome video for a class I created in video journalism at UNM. The class focuses on mobile and social journalism.

In 2022, I began learning how to created animated videos using Vyond. My work includes storyboarding, script writing and designing and developing animated stories.
